SKF Maintenance Products has extended its range of measuring instruments with the introduction of the ThermoPen TMTP 200Ex intrinsically safe contact thermometer. Developed for use in explosive hazardous areas, this pocket-size instrument fulfils the latest ATEX requirements for use in explosive atmospheres in both mining and surface applications. The sturdy, flexible probe tip helps ensure effective surface contact for accurate temperature measurement, allowing maintenance engineers to intervene before equipment failure occurs. The thermometer measures temperatures ranging from minus 40C (minus 40F) up to plus 200C (plus 392F). Average battery life is 2,000 hours.
