While it is designed for demanding applications, the Raynger ST ProPlus non-contact thermometer is easy to use–simply point, shoot and read. Two models are available, the ST60 ProPlus and the ST80 ProPlus. The ST60 features eight-point circular laser, high/low alarm, Max, Min, Dif, and Avg temperature settings, and a temperature range of minus 32C to plus 600C (minus 25F to plus 1,100F). The ST80 has all the features of the ST60, but offers an expanded temperature range to 760C (plus 1,400F) and optics that allow the user to measure smaller objects from farther away. HVAC or facilities maintenance professionals who need to measure ceiling and duct temperatures from a distance will find this infra-red instrument a useful addition to their toolkits.
