High-Performance Drive Comes in Small Package

The compact, narrow-wedge, high-performance Ultra-V drive from TB Wood’s, available in 3V, 5V and 8V belt sections, permits high speeds and combines high horsepower with small size and low weight. Classical V-drives are offered in a wide range of sizes and in A, B, C or D belt sections. Light-duty FHP V-drives offer capacities up to 15 hp and are available in two sections. “A” sheaves accommodate A (4L) belts, while “B” sheaves are made for A (4L) or B (5L) belts. All of the company’s sheaves are close-grained, high-tensile cast iron and provide vibration-free operation at speeds up to 6,500 rpm (ductile iron to 10,000 fpm).
