The Trellchem VPS-Flash protective hazmat suit is a reusable, single-skin, one-layer suit that provides manoeuvrability and comfort to the wearer. It is certified to NFPA 1991-2005 and has gained optional chemical flash fire certification. In the Overall Ensemble Flash Test, following exposure to a six-to eight-second flash fire, the suit held pressure and passed a visual acuity test of 20/100 or better. To pass the Flammability Resistance Test, following a series of burns, the suit must self-extinguish after two seconds. This suit did not ignite. It is made of rubber and plastic laminates with a woven fabric, forming a strong and flexible material that offers good chemical flash fire protection and good resistance to abrasion, punctures, tears and chemicals.
