Hart Scientific has introduced the Fluke 1523 and Fluke 1524 handheld reference thermometers for platinum resistance thermometer, thermocouple and thermistor temperature measurements. Replacing three tools with one, these rugged and affordable portable electronic thermometers offer accuracy of plus or minus 0.002C, a level appropriate for high-precision field work in oil, gas and other industries. Fluke guarantees the specifications in minus 10C to plus 60C ambient temperatures, with best performance over the range 13C to 33C. The dual-channel model 1524 can directly measure temperature differences for applications in the efficiency of combustion engines, steam engines, gas turbines, liquid turbines and HVAC. It logs up to 15,000 time-and date-stamped measurements for later retrieval with a PC.
