Screw conveyors operating in corrosive, continuous-duty paper-making environments have longer life when equipped with Graphalloy graphite/metal alloy split conveyor bushings. This alloy requires no grease or oil, works efficiently in submerged conditions and is not affected by caustics, black liquors and other hostile liquids found in paper-making lines. It can be used in temperatures up to 1,000F and can survive run-dry conditions. The bushings are available in over 100 grades of material, and in standard and custom designs, including cylindrical with and without grooves, single or double flange, split and metal-backed.
