Four Silicone Compounds Broaden Product Line

Loctite has added four room-temperature vulcanizing compounds to its product line. Designated Ultra Black, Ultra Blue, Ultra Copper and Ultra Grey, these silicones are designed to make formed-in-place gaskets for mechanical assemblies. The compounds cure on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible silicone rubber gasket that resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. They can fill gaps up to 0.25 in., are non-corrosive, have low odour and low volatility, and are resistant to most chemicals and solvents.
