Galil Motion Control offers its DMC-31×3 flexible-distributed controller designed for machines requiring multi-axis controllers operating in a distributed network. In addition to lowering the controller cost per axis, the unit frees the host computer from the complex task of motion coordination. Also, it is Ethernet-based for low-cost communications between various controllers, I/O, cameras and other such devices. The series can be specified for one to eight axes and is not restricted to single-axis motion controllers. It handles numerous modes of motion (positioning, jogging, linear and circular interpolation, gearing and ECAM), is configurable for stepper or servo control on any axis, provides non-volatile program memory with multi-tasking, and has plenty of I/O that can be expanded.
