The ‘DP’ in Tsubaki DP roller chain stands for ‘double plating.’ The chain is galvanized and the surface is specially treated to protect the chain against corrosive environments. Under salt-water spray tests, the DP-treated chain stands up for more than 500 hours. It is resistant to acid rain and other adverse weather conditions, which makes it suitable for outdoor use. The smooth coating adheres well to the chain and is hard to scratch. Chromium is not used, so the chain is environmentally friendly.
