Recent innovations by manufacturers of direct drive rotary screw air compressors allow manufacturing and processing plants using industrial equipment to profit from greater energy savings in their pressurized air operations driven by electric motors. Sullivan-Palatek compressors use a direct drive rotary screw, eliminating moving parts such as belts, gears and pulleys. Also, its compressors employ large rotors in the air-end assemblies that offer a higher displacement so that they produce more air at higher pressure using less horsepower. For a compressor running 24/7, the savings can amount to over US$7,000 annually.
