Device protects building columns from vehicle impact

Collisions between mobile equipment and buildings can cause personal injury and building/equipment damage. Now available from Akro-Mils are Sentry structural protection devices from Sentry Protection Products. Column Sentry and Rack Sentry are designed to protect building columns and storage structures from damage by lift trucks and other vehicles. The Column Sentry device, resembling two halves of a doughnut, clamps together around the lower part of a building column and is held in place by Velcro straps. Installation takes less than a minute. The device is made from linear low-density polyethylene, which springs back to its original shape after impact and does not damage vehicles. Rack Sentry protects rack uprights and is shaped like a D with most of the cushioning capability at the front and sides, where it is needed.
