Potential machine malfunctions can be identified before catastrophic failures occur using StatusCheck, a wireless condition monitoring system from Timken that transmits vibration and temperature data. The system was designed based on the company’s knowledge of bearing performance and rotating machinery. Each system includes up to 100 wireless transmitters, a data receiver and a companion software program. It measures temperature and vibration in bearings, bearing housings, gear boxes, motors and other industrial devices, helping maintenance teams to schedule repairs and avoid costly unscheduled downtime.
