As leaky systems can be costly and dangerous, the EPA in the United States has set down regulations aimed at limiting emissions in pumps, compressors, valves and flanged equipment. New Standard Institute’s computer-based-training release, Gaskets and Bolted Flange Connections, shows how to achieve a good flanged connection, as well as the essentials of studs, bolts and nuts. This training module, available in two formats, a downloadable file or as a CD, is enhanced with animation, interactive examples and quizzes, pop-up definitions, enlargeable graphics and an internal search function, as well as full text narration.
