Designed for drives requiring ultra-clean operating conditions, the Gates Poly Chain GT2 drive system with stainless steel sprockets and bushings is a low-maintenance, high-performance, space-saving alternative for roller chains. On food and beverage drives, it does not give off the contaminants associated with lubricated chains, and it resists rust, foam degreasers and caustic washdown solutions. The belt is suited for low-speed (less than 500 rpm), high-torque synchronous drives up to 1,200 hp. Construction features include a polyurethane body for abrasion and chemical resistance and superior adhesion to the aramid fibre tensile cords. A nylon facing gives strength and durability to the belt teeth.
