Glen Ellyn, IL–The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) has opened registration on its convention website, located at www.bsaconventions.org, for its 2008 Annual Convention, April 26-29, 2008, at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson, AZ.

Prospective convention attendees are encouraged to link to the website for convention details, program highlights, a schedule of events, and access to convention registration and hotel reservations.

The business program features speakers selected for their ability to address the diverse needs of today’s business marketplace.

Jim Cathcart will speak on purpose-driven leadership. Cathcart believes that people must have a reason to become self-motivated. The more they know how what they do helps others and their company, the more initiative they will exert.

Speaker Jeffrey J. Fox, who introduced the concept of dollarization in How to Become a Rainmaker and How to Become a Marketing Superstar, believes that good companies suffer because they create financial value for their customers but aren’t able to keep their fair share.

“Laugh at Fear” is Frank Miles’ response to his near-death hang-gliding experience and long road to recovery. With help from the audience, Miles uses magic, juggling, unicycling, acrobatics, music and even fire eating to illustrate the simple truths that can free them from self-imposed and imprisoning fears that are the top obstacles to success.

In addition, BSA will also welcome Bruce Warmbold, president of the Schaeffler Group, representing the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA), who will present an industry update on the global bearing marketplace. BSA has also expanded its traditional spouse program in 2008.
