Baldor has announced a high-power brushless servo motor. The BSM132 has the capability to reach 14.5 kW (20 hp) and can be expanded to 25 kW (34 hp) with optional blower cooling. These servo motors provide continuous stall torque from 70 Nm (620 lb-in.) to 120 Nm (1,060 lb-in.) and speed capability to 5,000 rpm for applications that need faster positioning. Features include sealing to IP65 for protection against dust and low-pressure water jets, optional rotatable connectors, feedback including resolver or absolute encoder, quality servo-rated ball bearings, double-insulated multi-coated magnet wire, and premium grease. Markets include packaging, food processing, beverages, material handling, shearing, printing and more.
