Coel’s FK-FKL series asynchronous brake motors with DC brake as standard, closed and externally ventilated, complies with CSA and IEC standards. The motors can be driven by an inverter. Designed for applications that do not require high braking torque values, the brake is supplied with a DC electromagnet, operates with low values of noise and amperage and ensures smooth start-up and braking. A flywheel makes starting and braking gradual, suiting the brake motor for crane travel, bottling machines, etc. Possible configurations include an auxiliary fan version, separate brake supply, FKP series with a positive brake and FKK series with a patented brake release system.
