SKF has introduced ball bearings for screw drives that provide necessary support for precision ball and roller screws used to drive multi-axis positioning tables in machine-tool applications. These bearings deliver long life and good stiffness and offer high dynamic and static load ratings, enhanced speed and acceleration capabilities and good axial rigidity and running accuracies. The product line includes Series BSA/BSD single-direction angular contact ball bearings, Series BEAM/BEAS double-direction angular contact thrust ball bearings, and Series FBSA/FBSD flanged cartridge units. All units are available in a variety of bore sizes, arrangements, preloads, and load and speed ratings to satisfy technical and performance requirements in metal-cutting, woodworking, milling and many other precision machine-tool applications.
