ARC FLASH DISCUSSION HIGHLIGHTS ELECTRICAL GROUP MEETING

Toronto, ON — Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) and the Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association of Canada (EEMAC) recently hosted a joint Industrial Speaker Session on the topic of arc flash.
Guests were treated to a presentation by Bill Giffen, an arc flash survivor, who described how his unfortunate encounter with an arc flash caused him a near-life threatening experience. Giffen shared with the audience the most intimate details of his accident, and his subsequent painful recovery.
His presentation was complemented by a presentation by Dr. Mary Capelli- Schellpfeffer, MD, MPA, one of North America’s leading experts in the field of ‘uncontrolled, unintentional energy release during operation, maintenance and construction work’.
