The Powerfoil, a high-volume/low-speed airfoil fan from Big Ass Fans, provides 35% more cubic feet per minute than the company’s Wickerbill airfoil fan. Designed for optimum operation at low rpms, the fan offers a 400% increase in energy efficiency over the Wickerbill fan, yet costs 50% less to operate. It can destratify the air in the winter for lower heating bills, and in the summer it can be sped up to produce 332,000 cfm to lower temperatures in warehouses and plants.
