Topic: Fleet Maintenance & Asset Management Practices at City of Ottawa

The City of Ottawa’s Fleet Maintenance Shop is responsible for procuring, maintaining, administering, repairing and the replacement of the City of Ottawa’s diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. These fleet vehicles support some of the most critical operations at the city including snow removal, municipal operations, police, paramedic and fire services. Participants will have a unique opportunity to learn about the maintenance and asset management practices that the City of Ottawa follows, that allows it to maximize the service life of the City’s fleet.
Tour: Following the presentation, participants will receive a behind the scenes tour of the City of Ottawa’s Fleet Maintenance Facility. Participants will see first-hand the city’s fleet management theory in practice, as they tour the facility that maintains the city’s fleet of trucks, cars, road building equipment including as graders, and park maintenance units.
