Topic: Global Climate Change Adaptation

Speaker: Michael Riseborough AAE, RPA, FMA, CFM.

In his presentation, Michael will describe the Greater Toronto Airports Authority’s journey to global climate change adaption. He will share how the GTAA adapted business models and hardening the built environment to cope with the changing climate. The GTAA’s experience is one that can be adapted for many operations.

About the Speaker:

Michael R Riseborough is the Director of Aviation Infrastructure, Energy and Environment at Toronto Pearson International Airport. He has worked in the aviation business sector since 1975. Michael is a member of the board of examiners of the IAAE and is an Accredited Airport Executive, AAE. He has a practical and in-depth understanding of Facilities Management, airport systems, infrastructure, operating processes and business practices.

Michael is a member of BOMA and holds the professional designations RPA and FMA. He is also a Member of ASCE, Transportation and Development Institute (T and DI)_ Michael is a long standing member of IFMA and is the President of the Airport Facilities Council and holds the professional designation CFM.
