FBO annual conference returns

This year’s Food and Beverage Ontario Annual Conference will be held on October 27 at Steam Whistle Brewery in Toronto, Ont., from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.  The one-day event will include discussions from leaders in the industry.

Benjamin Tal, deputy chief economist at CIBC World Markets will be one of the speakers. Tal has published research on topics such as labour market dynamics, real estate, credit markets, international trade, and business economic conditions.

Dr. Sylvain Charlebois, faculty of agriculture senior director at Agri-Food Analytics Lab and professor at Dalhousie University will discuss an “overview of the food and beverages landscape after an uneventful few years (not…).”

Doug Stephens, founder and CEO of Retail Prophet and author of three books on the future of retail, including his latest book, Resurrecting Retail: The Future of Business in a Post-Pandemic World, will discuss retail and consumer behaviour.

Following the presentations there will be an Ontario food and drink networking event.
