Ritchie Bros sells millions in equipment at Ontario and Manitoba auctions

Ritchie Bros sold over $71 million of equipment and trucks in Toronto and over $31 million of assets in Winnipeg. The online auctions combined 11,900 registered bidders for more than 6,400 items between the two events.

“We bulldozed past our previous Toronto sales record, set last May, with gross transaction value up approximately 35 per cent year over year,” said Ryan Pottruff, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros.

Approximately 91 per cent of the equipment in the Toronto auction was sold to Canadians, including 65 per cent sold to Ontarians. The remaining nine per cent was sold to international buyers.

The Manitoba action included bidders from 28 countries, Canadians purchased 94 per cent of the assets, including 70 per cent sold to Manitobans
