Crofter’s Food Ltd. receives funding from province
Crofter’s Food Ltd. to expand its operations and create nine full-time jobs by $1 million funding from the Ontario government.
Crofter’s Food, a family-owned company, will build a new facility to increase its daily production capacity, and create more storage space to meet the growing demand for its organic fruit spreads. Funding for this project is being delivered through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
“Thanks to this investment from the Ontario government and NOHFC, Crofter’s Food Ltd. will be able to increase its raw material inventory and expand its Seguin-based operations, creating nine new jobs. Larger inventories are required to withstand global supply chain disruptions and increasing pressures on agriculture due to climate change. This support is one part of securing the food supply chain and promoting continued growth in local manufacturing.” said Gerhard Latka, President, Crofter’s Food Ltd.
