SMRP launches body of knowledge manual and webinar series

The Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) has launched its new body of knowledge manual and a corresponding five-part webinar series.

The new materials detail the five-key areas of maintenance, reliability and physical asset management that individuals should be proficient in to further their careers and improve their facility’s performance.

“We’ve added 129 pages to the SMRP body of knowledge to provide a clear roadmap to world-class performance for maintenance, reliability and physical asset management professionals,” said Erin Erickson, Executive Director, SMRP. “Whether you lost your job during the pandemic, are trying to help your company meet new demand challenges, or want to take the next step in your career, now is a great time dive into one of the greatest tools available for maintenance and reliability professionals.”

The body of knowledge manual and webinar series provide a review of business and management, manufacturing process reliability, equipment reliability, leadership and management, and work management.

Specific topics include how to manage organizational changes, how to communicate with stakeholders, the best practices for operating procedures, how to identify equipment reliability and improvement opportunities, and how to lead and manage people.
