Professional Development: Augmented Reality and Digital Twins Tools

PEMAC’s GTA Chapter will post another Professional Development event on March 18 at 12 p.m. Topics will include:

• Augmented Reality and Digital Twins: two terms that conjure up images of science fiction, costly projects, and limited applicability to industry. How could these technologies be of interest to asset, risk, and maintenance professionals?
• Market forces including the global pandemic have changed the business world radically over the last 12 months. As operational leaders approach, assess, execute asset and risk management strategies for 2021 and beyond, they need to be aware of how these technologies can benefit their organizations today, and not just in the future.
• Bardia Bina and Eric Bradnam of Interaptix Inc. will take PEMAC members through a brief introduction of the subject matter, an overview of the market forces, an orientation on the tools and technologies available today, and specific use cases with tangible results for organizations that have deployed these solutions.
