New chief operating officer comes aboard Bombardier’s aerospace wing

Bombardier Inc. has named a chief operating officer for its aerospace division.

The company says Danny Di Perna will lead engineering and procurement at the Montreal-based transportation giant’s aerospace wing, reporting to chief executive Alain Bellemare.

Di Perna brings more than three decades of experience in aerospace and industry.

He joins Bombardier from General Electric Co. subsidiary GE Power, where he was a vice-president in charge of procurement.

Di Perna also worked as an executive overseeing aircraft and engine maintenance at Air Canada Technical Services.
