Get the schedules for workplace inspection blitzes

The Ontario Ministry of Labour publishes a schedule of inspection blitzes and initiatives in specific sectors as a way to enhance employers’ awareness of their responsibilities.

Inspection blitzes are part of our Safe At Work Ontario compliance strategy and all initiatives protect workers’ rights under both the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Employment Standards Act.

Check in periodically to see which blitz is on the horizon, then take precautionary measures to ensure the safety in the workplace.

Following are two industrial Health and safety blitzes currently underway:

• New and young workers’ health and safety (May 1 – August 31, 2018)
• Health and safety in warehouses and “big box” retail (October 1 – November 23, 2018)
