Lincoln announces new president, Business Development for the Americas Welding segment

John Bronstrup, President, Business Development for the Americas Welding, Lincoln Electric Company.

Cleveland, OH – The Lincoln Electric Company, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., announces the promotion of John T. Bronstrup to the newly created position of President, Business Development for the Americas Welding segment, effective immediately.  Bronstrup previously served as Vice President Finance, North America.
In this new role, Bronstrup will lead the development and implementation of the Americas Welding growth strategy to advance sales in key product portfolios including: education, welding accessories and alloy-based consumables.  Bronstrup will lead a team that will drive investment activities and work cross-functionally with regional country presidents to ensure the Company capitalizes on increasing demand for these solutions.  He will report to George Blankenship, Executive Vice President, President, Americas Welding.

Blankenship, Executive Vice President, President, Americas Welding for Lincoln Electric. “His experience and focus will help us scale these innovative, value-added solutions in the Americas and extend our brand as the Welding Experts among new and existing customers and channels.”

Bronstrup has served at Lincoln Electric for nearly 20 years in a number of management roles including Vice President of Finance, North America, Director of Financial Reporting, Group Controller for Harris Products Group and has held positions in Internal Audit, Treasury and IT.  He has also served as the Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller of Hawk Corporation and started his career as an auditor for Arthur Andersen. Bronstrup earned a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University, a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Miami University and is a certified public accountant.
