Konecranes CXT hoist

November 13, 2015 - Pre-engineered metal building suppliers are the latest to benefit with Konecranes CXT Hoist. CXT has been engineered with a low-headroom design and ability to work closer to the walls can shave a significant amount from the one-time cost of the building shell plus ongoing costs for heating and cooling.

Since the CXT hook approach is shorter, it is possible to reduce the overall footprint of the building. In addition, the smaller headroom requirement may reduce the required building height.

The CXT line covers a capacity range from one to 80 tons. The hoisting inverter provides accuracy and controlled slow speed operation when lifting the load and when precision is needed. The empty load hook can be driven with up to 50 per cent higher speeds compared to the loaded hook, allowing the operator to choose the most efficient way to operate the hoist. The hoist is also designed to deliver a longer wire rope lifetime. Gearing is Konecranes’ own AGMA quality 11, the toughest in the industry, in a totally enclosed compact gear case. DC braking is dust proof, designed for the life of the hoist (FEM) and lasts over one million applications without adjustment. The CXT comes complete with a two-year warranty covering parts and labour.

The CXT is also fully compatible with Konecranes Smart Features – a suite of software-driven capabilities designed to enhance both safety and productivity. For example, adding Sway Control can reduce load-handling time by as much as 60 percent as compared to cranes with standard controls.
