Six more companies join PTDA
Chicago, IL – Six new member companies have joined the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA).
New distributor members include: C.E.M. Supply Inc., Coldwater, MI, a distributor of mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, motor/motion control, electrical/electronic drives, material handling, hydraulics/pneumatics, and PT accessories; and Exim Engineering Inc., Anaheim, CA, a distributor of mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, electrical/electronic drives, and hydraulics/pneumatics products.
“Business is changing rapidly and PTDA allows us to gain knowledge of industry trends and compare our operations with our peers in order to make necessary changes to stay competitive,” said Sharad Mehta, president of Exim. “Plus, PTDA provides a platform for networking with suppliers and fellow distributors.”
Another new distributor member is Malloy, Sioux Falls, SD, a distributor of mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, electrical/electronic drives, material handling, linear motion and PT accessories. “We joined PTDA to network with our peers and to expand our relationships with current and potential suppliers,” said Nolan Fischer, operations manager. “We are also excited about the many resources PTDA provides for our organization and team members.”
New manufacturer members include Delta Products, Durham, NC, which manufactures adjustable speed drives, motor/motion control products, motors, and linear motion products. “Delta joined PTDA because of the organization’s strength and prominence in the power transmission marketplace,” said Mike Carson, vice-president, sales and product management. “Variable frequency drives are one of our core strengths in industrial automation, so we believe PTDA membership is a natural fit to expand Delta’s participation in the power transmission industry. We plan to diligently support the organization and participate in all the activities provided. We are looking forward to taking advantage of the opportunities in PTDA to better serve power transmission distributors.
Also joining the association is Syntron Material Handling LLC (formerly FMC Technologies), Saltillo, MS, a manufacturer of conveyors and material handling components and PT accessories.
A new associate member is supplyFORCE, King of Prussia, PA, which provides national account contract services to independent distributors. “Wanting to expand into the power transmission arena, we look at PTDA as a tremendous opportunity to network with the best independent distributors and the leading product manufacturers in the industry and to take advantage of the abundant training opportunities and resources,” said Scott Sutfin, director, PTB division.
The PTDA, is a global association for the industrial power transmission/motion control, PT/MC, distribution channel. Headquartered in Chicago, PTDA represents power transmission/motion control distribution firms that generate more than $16 billion in sales and span over 3,400 locations. PTDA members also include manufacturers that supply to the PT/MC industry.
