Elgin, IL – Harting has developed a Roadshow Truck that will travel across North America showcasing its connectivity solutions. The truck will display industrial and small form industrial connectors, cable assemblies, board level connectors, backplane assemblies, industrial Ethernet switches, and Harting’s industrial RFID solution. The purpose of the roadshow is to support the engineering community with the industry knowledge it needs in its daily tasks.

“Harting is committed to educating the market on new technologies,” said Jon DeSouza, President and CEO of Harting Inc. of North America. “Engineers need the right tools to better inform themselves when choosing a connector solution.

“We aren’t here to just sell a product,” DeSouza said. “We want to show what’s out there in the world of industrial connectivity – and help to find the solution that’s right for a specific application.”

“Each customer’s need is different,” added Christina Chatfield, director of marketing communications. “And that’s why the Roadshow Truck offers a very targeted user-experience through interactive apps and interchangeable product displays. That way the customer can choose what he or she wants to focus on.”

The Roadshow Truck is an expansion of the educational initiatives Harting launched last year through its free, web-based portal, Harting-U is an engineering source for white papers, FAQs, tutorial videos, best practices, technical articles, case studies, customer testimonials and apps regarding industrial connectivity.

The Harting Roadshow Truck started its year-long tour on Sept. 18 at Boyce Technologies in New York City. The tour will continue through the US and Canada. If you are interested in a visit, check out the schedule at
