MRO Magazine wins two separate awards in one day
Toronto – Machinery & Equipment MRO was honoured to win a Gold award on June 2, 2015, at the annual Kenneth R. Wilson Awards gala, recognizing editorial excellence in business and professional magazines. Long-time contributor Carroll McCormick of Montreal won for the Best Manufacturing/Industrial Article for a feature titled A Matter of Survival, which focuses on the perils of rescues in confined spaces when doing maintenance operations. The annual KRW competition is organized by Canadian Business Media.
McCormick has been writing for MRO Magazine for 17 years, and this is his seventh KRW award for the magazine, said Editor Bill Roebuck. This was the 15th such award in total for the magazine.
Co-incidentally, on the same day, the winners of the annual APEX Awards were announced for 2015, and MRO Magazine again received an award. APEX is an international competition of publication excellence. This year’s win, for the April 2014 issue, was in the Magazines and Journals category. It represents MRO Magazine’s ninth APEX award. (In 2014, the magazine was awarded a special Grand Award for best issue in the same category.)
With two editorial awards in one day, you must agree we had a pretty happy team here at MRO Magazine!
