Linear motion supplier gets AS9100C certification

Cleveland, OH – Nook Industries, a manufacturer of linear motion components and systems, has achieved AS9100C certification. The ISO9001:2008-registered company’s newest certification assures high-quality products for customers in the aircraft and aerospace industries as well as the other industries that it serves.

AS9100C, an internationally recognized quality standard in the industry, builds on the ISO standard with additional requirements specific to aerospace product safety and reliability.

“This new certification provides product assurance and delivery to those in the aerospace and defence industries from Nook,” said Joe Nook III, president and CEO of Nook Industries. “It also provides our customers in other industries with confidence in the high-level of quality in our manufacturing.”

Nook Industries underwent a third-party verification process that included a detailed review of the company’s quality management system. Nook Industries has been ISO9001:2008-certified for more than 10 years; the addition of the AS9100C certification represents its commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.

“Manufacturers who serve the aircraft and aerospace industry like we do are a valuable link in the supply chain and must provide a high level of quality,” explained Nook. “This certification couldn’t have happened without our dedicated and quality focused employees and is an additional testament to our component standards as aircraft must be safe and reliable down to the smallest ball screw.”
