The one-day crane safety management training course from Konecranes gives supervisors and plant, facility, and safety managers in-depth information on OSHA and ASME B30 requirements pertaining to crane safety. Detailed and interactive discussions will cover the reasons behind regulatory requirements and will also cover good management practices.

Expert instructors at Konecranes will review applicable federal material handling rules and regulations, discuss the proper operation of overhead cranes, and talk about the roles and responsibilities of personnel associated with overhead cranes.

Safety and equipment inspections will be covered in detail in the crane safety management course from Konecranes, including equipment rejection criteria, required inspection frequency, conducting near miss and accident investigations, and record keeping requirements. Attendees will also be trained in what to consider when developing and implementing a proper maintenance program.

Also available from Konecranes are two-day nuclear crane management courses, which focus on the special concerns of working in nuclear environments. In addition to general crane safety topics, participants will learn about specific nuclear regulations governing cranes and hoists, including NUREG 0612 rules on control of heavy loads at nuclear power plants.
