Brussels – The EMEA Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA), an organisation in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) for distribution and manufacturing in the mechanical power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) sector, continues to expand its membership base with distributors and manufacturers in the PT/MC industry.
With seven new members in the second quarter of 2014, for a total of 13 new members in the first half of the year, EPTDA now has 237 member companies employing over 250,000 staff across 30 countries.
EPTDA has welcomed two new distributor members from Austria and Switzerland — both branches of the German mother company Josef Blässinger GmbH & Co. Sales activities with field representatives in Austria led to the foundation of Blässinger GmbH in Liezen, Austria, in 2009, making it the first foreign Blässinger branch. The parent company is one of the largest German commercial enterprises in the field of anti-friction bearings and drive technology.
The latest manufacturer members are S.C. Rulmenti S.A., Romania; Kuroda Jena Tec, UK; Can-Am Chains (Europe) Ltd., UK; Nabeya Bi-tech Kaisha, Japan; and Sapitflex S.r.l., Italy.
S.C. Rulmenti S.A. is a worldwide supplier of bearings and services in the rolling bearing business under the URB brand. Kuroda Jena Tec designs, manufactures and supplies linear and rotary motion products and services. Can-Am Chains is an independent manufacturer of premium welded steel chains, sprockets, wear strip and other associated products. Nabeya Bi-tech Kaisha is a Japanese owned manufacturer of motion control components. All seven new members will be formally introduced to the EPTDA family at the next EPTDA annual convention in Istanbul September 24-26, 2014, together with 18 other new members and around 30 companies that will attend for the first time. With such a large group of newcomers, this year’s event will not only be an opportunity to build on already existing relationships and discuss trends, challenges and opportunities of the industry with top leaders, but also to reach and build new partnerships that will lead to success.
