Glen Ellyn, IL – The Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) has opened registration for its 2014 annual convention, taking place May 3-6 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, Scottsdale, AZ. Using a theme of ‘Legacy of Excellence … Shaping the Future’, the conference will examine the convergence of industry trends, sustainable growth, and how innovation can be used to grow a mature market.
The meeting will bring together the top leadership of authorized bearing distributors and manufacturers to build relationships and help shape the future of the industrial bearing industry. The convention business program includes a series of program components that build on each other.
• Industry Trends and Growth presented by Dr. Barry Lawrence, the Leonard and Valerie Bruce Leadership Chair, the program director of the Industrial Distribution Program, director of the Thomas and Joan Read Center, and director of the Global Supply Chain Laboratory at Texas A & M University
• Our Evolving Industry: Analysis and Insight presented by Courtney Killion, market research analyst at Cleveland Research
• Disruptive Innovation: Empowering Growth presented by Dr. Jeff Dyer, co-founder and professor of strategy at Brigham Young University and Wharton
• Shaping the Future: Creating Growth in Mature Markets is an industry panel in which all three of these speakers will participate. It will be moderated by Ellen Holladay, BSA past president, and senior vice-president, chief information officer and operational excellence officer, Motion Industries.
As well, Brian Lindsay, president, NSK Canada, will present the ABMA Update on behalf of the American Bearing Manufacturers Association, while Brian Negri, president, Jamaica Bearings, and BSA’a vice-president, will provide an update on the bearing industry’s growth from the distributor perspective.
BSA is an international service and educational organization of authorized bearing distributors representing a total of almost 100 companies distributing factory-warranted, anti-friction bearings and invited manufacturers of bearings and related products.
