
Domestic production of crude oil and natural gas rose 13.1% in August

Ottawa - Domestic production of crude oil and equivalent hydrocarbons rose 13.1% to 17.7 million cubic metres in August from August 2012, according to Statistics Canada.
Ottawa – Domestic production of crude oil and equivalent hydrocarbons rose 13.1% to 17.7 million cubic metres in August from August 2012, according to Statistics Canada.
During the same period, crude oil exports increased 4.3%.
Marketable natural gas production was down 1.9% to 11.2 billion cubic metres.
Domestic sales of natural gas rose 16.9% while natural gas exports fell 14.0%.
