Brussels – The EPTDA (European Power Transmission Distributors Association) reports that its membership across Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) has reached 220 companies. EPTDA is the leading community within industrial distribution as recognised by customers. It brings together distributors, manufacturers and associates in the mechanical power transmission and motion control (PT/MC) industry from across 30 countries.
The association has grown at a steady pace since its foundation in 1998. In 2013, EPTDA’s 15th anniversary year, 19 new companies have joined the association, the newest additions since June 2013 are:
– Agisys, Hungary
– Boca Bearing Company, USA
– E.B.I Group S.P.A, Italy
– Kavial OÜ, Estonia
– Rulexim S.A., Romania
– YTM-Industrial OY and its subsidiary Lining Components OY, Finland
-Premium Stephan B.V, Germany
-Infor Global Solutions, UK/USA
“The new additions to our membership signals our focus on growing presence in the emerging markets,” said Hans Hanegreefs, EPTDA’s executive vice-president. “Today, 20% of EPTDA’s members come from these fast-growing emerging economies. Going forward, we will further strengthen our footprints in Eastern and Central Europe, Middle East and Africa.”
“Some 400 A-list manufacturers & distributors and guests in the mechanical power transmission industry will gather in Venice next month, to mark the 15th anniversary of this premier community for qualified members, promoting open dialogue and mutual respect, business integrity, honesty and fairness,” said Hanbegreefs. “It’s going to be our biggest convention ever – with all the key players of the industry engaging in an open dialogue on one common floor. It’s going to be a spectacular event.” The convention takes place Sept. 18-22, 2013.
