July 31, 2013 – Warner Linear recently added the I-Track to its line of linear actuators. It was developed for light- and medium-duty applications where parallel motor-type actuators won’t fit in limited space requirements. The I-Track features a release clutch that allows the actuator rod to float when power is Off. When the clutch is disengaged, much less force is required for manual movement. The clutch also provides overload protection and can be driven through in case of obstruction. The actuator has a load capacity up to 200 lb and stroke lengths up to 12 in. Gaskets are nitrile-impregnated for better sealing, says Warner, and steel components are nitrotec-coated for enhanced corrosion resistance. The operating temperature range is from -40C to 85C, and motors are available in 12vdc or 24vdc with long-life brushes.
