July 31, 2013 – The key feature of its new Rennsteig double-edged bolt and screw extractors, says Knipex Tools, is four double-edged cutting and gripping edges that equal eight points of contact for removing damaged screws and bolts. Designed for both left- and right-hand threaded screws, the extractor’s cutting edges promise non-slip engagement. They also include a centre point, so no additional tools are required to mark the centre point for the drill hole. The high-alloy, chrome vanadium steel extractors feature a hexagonal driving flat that promises optimum torque and a 58% larger size compared to square-head styles, boasts Knipex, for a better wrench grip. Extractors are available as individual pieces with a range of sizes from 1-7 for bolts 3/16-in. to greater than 1-in., or in 3- and 5-piece sets.
