Detroit, MI – STLE’s 68th Annual Meeting & Exhibition takes place May 5-9, 2013, at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, MI, an easy driving distance for those in Toronto and the closest annual meeting of STLE for several years.
The STLE Annual Meeting showcases more than 350 technical papers, application-based case studies and best practice reports, and discussion panels on technical or market trends. Education courses support professional development needs and prepare people for one of STLE’s three certification programs. Sessions include: Biotribology, Ceramics and Composites, Condition Monitoring, Engine and Drive Train, Environmentally Friendly Fluids, Fluid Film Bearings, Gears, Grease, Lubrication Fundamentals, Materials Tribology and more.
Exhibits and commercial presentations spotlight the latest products and services of interest to lubrication professionals. Business networking is another invaluable part of the STLE meeting experience.
Early indicators suggest this year’s event could be STLE’s strongest in years and the society is expecting some 1,400 attendees. The annual trade show sold out moths earlier than normal. STLE added 13 more booths to the exhibition and they sold out almost immediately.
The popular Commercial Marketing Forum, a two-day event where companies can openly promote their products and services (something not allowed at the technical sessions) also sold out. STLE even added a third day of the 30-minute time slots.
