Glen Ellyn, IL – Perhaps one of the most important events at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2013 Annual Convention, taking place May 4-7, 2013, at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa in Hilton Head, SC, is a timely panel discussion on how the bearing industry can effectively attract and retain the necessary talent to succeed.
Planned for Monday, May 6th, the panel will be moderated by Ken Hopkins, president of Koyo Bearings USA and the COO of JTEKT of North America. The panel is charged with exploring today’s changing workforce dynamics. Attracting, developing and retaining a competent, competitive workforce is a challenge shared by all bearing industry leaders. The panel will include:
• Neil Schrimsher, CEO, Applied Industrial Technologies. He joined AIT in 2011 and brings the perspective of someone who recently decided to be a part of the bearing industry.
• Brian Negri, vice-president, Jamaica Bearings. He is a third generation ‘bearing guy’ who chose to commit his future to our industry.
• Kevin Krause, CEO, BaxterKrause, one of the top seven executive recruiting firms in the southeast US. In addition to his extensive experience in recruiting top talent into numerous industries, Krause understands what today’s workforce is looking for.
• John Lummus, vice-president of economic and institutional advancement, Tri-County Technical College. He is educating and training those who may choose to make the bearing industry their future career.
‘We’re all in this to win’ is the convention theme. For additional information, visit the convention website at www.bsaconventions.org.
