App simplifies identification of part numbers for hydraulic tube fittings and adapters
Columbus, OH - Parker Hannifin Corporation's Tube Fitting Division recently launched Parker FittingFinder, a mobile, tablet and web-based app that brings the hydraulic tube fitting and adapter identification process to users' fingertips.
Columbus, OH – Parker Hannifin Corporation’s Tube Fitting Division recently launched Parker FittingFinder, a mobile, tablet and web-based app that brings the hydraulic tube fitting and adapter identification process to users’ fingertips.
The app allows customers to quickly and easily identify and locate fittings by selecting the fitting’s shape, end type, size and material. Using that information, FittingFinder provides an e-mailable specs page containing product dimensions and a link to the fitting’s CAD file on the web.
“This free app greatly simplifies the product identification process,” said Doug Gilbert, marketing manager, Tube Fitting Division. “FittingFinder is user-friendly, effective and always up to date. It is the ultimate resource for quickly identifying part numbers because it is easily accessible, whether you are out in the field in need of a fitting replacement or behind a desk designing a new system.”
Another available search option is to identify the fitting by part number. Once the part number is entered into the system, FittingFinder will provide the e-mailable specs page. If the end type or part number isn’t known, users can email a photo of the part to TFD for identification assistance.
Once a part number has been identified, a ‘Where to Buy link will provide a list of local Parker distributors based on GPS or zip code input. The returned results feature both a direct dial ‘Call’ link and a ‘Map It’ option to obtain directions.
Parker FittingFinder is available for free on Android and Apple IOS devices from the appropriate app stores or from www.parkerfittingfinder.com, where users can also access a web-based version of FittingFinder.
