Glen Ellyn, IL – Attendees at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2013 Winter Meeting in Atlanta, GA, said the meeting met or exceeded their expectations, according to the meeting’s organizers. Although all attendees pursued full agendas in the BSA committees, most rated the opportunity to meet and network with others in the industry as a top priority for attending, according to a post-meeting evaluation survey. As one meeting attendee pointed out in the evaluation, “The casual conversations before and at dinner, at lunch and in between meetings are invaluable.”

In addition to the regular committee meetings, the 2013 Winter Meeting also featured additional presentations:

•           Blogger Alan See’s luncheon presentation to all attendees reviewed the ways in which the rise of social media has an impact on an entire organization and its ability to compete in the increasingly digital, connected world. See also met with the Distributor/Manufacturer Relations committee after lunch for a more in-depth presentation.

•           The Information Technology and Supply Chain Committee meeting featured a presentation by Doug Josey about the mobile apps that Emerson Industrial Automation has developed for their authorized distributors and the public.

BSA has been actively pursuing options to leverage the strength of social media to enhance communications between the distributor and manufacturer.

The positive meeting review came from 100% of those responding to the post-meeting evaluation.

BSA will host its 2013 Annual Convention May 4-7 at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort and Spa on Hilton Head, SC. To learn more, visit the convention website at www.bsaconventions.org.

The rise in digital content is a massive influence on any organisations brand as Alan See mentioned above. Keeping your website up-to-date and use of blogs are always great methods of keeping your audience interested and informed. We do this regularly and it has been very beneficial for Rusada.
