After closing a very successful MainTrain 2012 last week in Toronto, PEMAC (the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Association of Canada) has announced that the next MainTrain will be held in Calgary from Nov. 18 to 21, 2013, at the Sheraton Cavalier.

PEMAC executive director Cindy Snedden explained that collocating this year’s MainTrain with CMORE’s International Maintenance Excellence Conference "proved to be a partnership that worked very well and got excellent reviews from the participants. We hope that we will be able to continue that partnership and make it even stronger for 2013."

In an effort to make MainTrain bigger and better, she says a few exciting developments are taking place.

"Firstly, PEMAC has made the decision to focus MainTrain as a national, annual, cross-sector conference focussed on sharing excellence in the theory and practice of maintenance, reliability and asset management," Snedden starts.

Secondly, PEMAC will be hosting meetings of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management in conjunction with MainTrain 2013. "This will bring leading international speakers in the field of Maintenance and Asset Management to the event," she adds.
