Mississauga, ON – KSB Canada has appointed Dirk Ruppert as its new national sales manager. Ruppert, a globally experienced strategist and business development professional, has been recruited from KSB’s global headquarters in Frankenthal, Germany, where he held key positions developing offshore markets for the company.
Now he is responsible for KSB Canada’s sales teams, who work from offices in Mississauga, Montreal and Calgary.
Ruppert joined KSB in Germany more than a decade ago from the Mercedes Car Group. He holds an MBA from the University of Applied Sciences in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
“Having Dirk as the head of our marketing and sales force is exciting – especially when we are growing our business in new directions,” says Mike Blundell, president of KSB Canada.
Within the past year, KSB Canada has moved into new headquarters in Mississauga with a greatly enlarged engineering, pump servicing and warehousing capacity. Now it’s adding KSB’s line of standardized pumps to its Canadian product portfolio, which has traditionally focussed on customized solutions for big projects.
“While we will continue to position ourselves as the #1 choice for in-depth engineering and customized pumping systems, Dirk’s … expertise in business development should help us to find new sales and distribution channels for our new lines of standardized pumps,” says Blundell. “He’ll also focus on measures to widen the market for our expanded service operation.”
