Brampton, ON — Advantage Sales Network Inc. (ASN) is now the sole sales agency representative for Hitachi Chain for all of Canada and Mexico, effective Aug. 12, 2012. For Canadian sales, ASN is reporting to Chuck Briere, Hitachi Maxco Ltd.’s national sales manager for Canada.

“Dave Cummings and Steve O’Brien, principals of ASN, have over 60 years of combined sales and management experience in the Canadian power transmission marketplace,” said Hitachi’s Bob Callahan, executive director, sales-marketing business development, North America-South America-Europe.

“They have been in the agency business servicing Canada nationwide as ASN for 13 of those years. They have sales coverage based in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Edmonton and Calgary, said Callahan. “As of September 2012, they will be shipping Hitachi product from their Edmonton, AB, and Brampton, ON, warehouses.”

According to its website, Hitachi is one of the largest, most diversified manufacturers in the world with annual sales of approximately US$80 billion. Hitachi Maxco Ltd., the North American sales operation, sell through manufacturer’s representatives and operate four sales regions – East, Midwest, West and Canada – supported with sales managers, engineering and technical services as well as marketing personnel.
