Mississauga, ON — The Plant Engineering Maintenance Association of Canada (PEMAC) will be holding elections at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Novotel Toronto Centre, Nov. 5, 2011, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm.
Members can register for the meeting in two ways: either send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit pemac.org and click the ‘Register’ button on the event notice on the website. Either way, you should indicate whether you will be attending in person, by conference call or by Internet conferencing.
PEMAC’s executive positions have two-year terms and vacancies are anticipated for the positions of President, Vice-President and Director(s). The Treasurer and Secretary positions are selected by the Board at the first meeting and not by direct election. Submit a nomination form for a Director position if you are interested in serving as either Secretary or Treasurer.
All board and committee members are volunteers. The primary function of the board is to advance excellence in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management as a profession in Canada. PEMAC provides leadership in the exchange of ideas and information and the advancement of education, certification and ethical practices.
Details of the requirements of open positions are outlined on the Nomination Form, which can be found here. The deadline for nomination submissions is Friday, Oct. 28. If you’re a member of PEMAC, feel free to nominate yourself, says the association’s executive director, Norm Clegg.
